All in the Tent
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to report that Big Tent II ran very smoothly today, and for those in Glasgow a big tent was certainly needed given the weather outside. A full report of our deliberations will be available shortly and many thanks to all involved both contributing and in support. Un abrazo Mike
Reflections on Big Tent II
I agree the Big Tent II ran really well, and I am looking forward to the next draft of the Community-University Engagement in 2030. The opportunity to network internationally and hear how others are making sense of the agenda is a privilege and can only enrich the work that we are all doing. I was particularly interested to hear people talk of times of change, with new models of self-organisation, leadership, decision making and knowledge creation emerging. It struck me that many of the attendees felt Universities could continue to be part of these societal, political, economic and cultural changes, but in order to be so – we may need to tweak some of the criteria by which we are judged, valued and evaluated.
