Riyadh Statement on Social Responsibility in Higher Education

The Ministry of Higher Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted an international conference on "Social Responsibility in Higher Education" April 16-17.  They brought together some of the best known women and men in the world for two days of dialogue and discussion.

One of the products of the conference was a very useful statement on social responsibility in higher education reflecting the concerns of the assembled specialists about the state of the world we live in and the importance of higher education institutions reengaging with the theme of social responsibility.  It will be available soon on both the conference and the Ministry of Higher Education web site, but courtesy of Dr. Salem Al-Malik, the Director General of International Relations for the Ministry of Higher Education and architect of both the conference and the statement, we are able to share an advance copy (featured below and as an attachment).
