ACU Engage Community launch, Thursday 4 December and GUNi seminar, Thursday 11 December 2014

On the occasion of this year’s Talloires Network Leaders Conference 2014 (TLNC), and building on the responses to the Beyond 2015 campaign, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) ia launching the ACU Engage Community, a new global network for universities committed to engaging with their local, national and regional communities. Drawing from our campaign’s six key questions, the launch session in Cape Town, South Africa, will look at how engaging international interaction can help identify solutions to some of the most pressing local, national and global issues.

The TLNC convenes leaders of universities from around the world to chart the next stage of the global movement of higher education, civic engagement and social responsibility. Join the discussion on Twitter: #tnlc2014 @HEbeyond2015 @The_ACU

Sparked by an interest in our campaign, the Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI) is facilitating a seminar exploring how higher education institutions can act as change agents for a sustainable future. The role of higher education institutions for the Sustainable Development Goals and the Post-2015 Development Agenda, held in Barcelona, Spain, will bring together university leaders, faculty and researchers in roundtable discussions based on and around the six key questions guiding the campaign.

Admission is free but pre-registration is required. Join the discussion on Twitter:#gunipost2015 @GUNi_net @HEbeyond2015
